In Artist's words -

"The essential value that my art provides is the time to confront oneself.

I spent my early years in a naturally rich, cooperative, and warm community. As I grew older and moved to urban areas, I encountered jealousy and self-interest more frequently, sparking an exploration into the root causes of human suffering. I developed an interest in philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience, and eagerly delved into books on these subjects. As I pursued the intrinsic value of human beings, I also became intrigued by the digital realm and even learned programming.

Over time, I started to sense that human behavior was remarkably similar to digital programming. I began to question whether my physical existence was real or whether my true self was somewhere else, prompting me to delve into my inner world.At the same time, I also encountered and deeply resonated with the Buddhist concept of emptiness, which is described as "seeming to be, yet not being, and seeming not to be, yet being."

In the midst of the COVID-19 turmoil sweeping the world, I embarked on a self-taught journey into abstract painting as a means to pursue my true self and express my inner world. As I contemplated the completed abstract paintings, I realized I was searching for human faces within them. From that day forward, I began to create portraits daily, and this is how kuw_'s art style was established.

In kuw_'s art, there are no attributes such as age, gender, or nationality. While some may perceive the portraits as depicting women, that interpretation may be a fixed concept. I encourage you to discard everything created by others or the environment and confront your true self.I am convinced that in that pursuit, a tranquil world unfolds.
